THE CUSTOMARY TUESDAY BAZAAR OF LENGRIJAN

The Tuesday Bazaar in Lengrijan is very popular among the locals as a variety of items are found in this bazar. This market opens once a week on every Tuesday. Varieties of food items including organic vegetables, silkworms, bananas, yams, bamboo shoots, pumpkins and wild products are usually available for sale in this market. These popular food items among the Naga people are mostly supplied from neighbouring Karbi Anglong of Assam. Though the majority of the sellers belong to the Karbi community, vendors from other communities such as Kachari, Nepali and Garo also come with their own items for selling to locals in this one-day special market
