Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed hope that relations between the European Union (EU) and Bangladesh will be further strengthened. He made the remarks while paying a farewell visit to the Prime Minister's official residence at the Prime Minister's official residence here on Thursday morning. At this time, the Prime Minister said, EU-Bangladesh relations will be further strengthened.After the meeting, Prime Minister's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said this in a press briefing.The Prime Minister said Bangladesh as a climate risk country has given priority to environment in all its development plans. EU member states will increase assistance to Bangladesh to address the adverse effects of climate change. Bangladesh can exchange experiences in dealing with natural disasters."We can share our experiences in dealing with natural disasters like floods, cyclones and river erosion," he said. Bangladesh has adopted the Delta Plan, which will help address the effects of climate change. He sought the help of EU member states to curb the unwanted warming caused by nature. During the meeting, both the Prime Minister and the EU Ambassador discussed the Cavid-19 situation.
